Thank you, Ken...

We have been extremely pleased that Rev. Ken Powers had been filling in while Dawn has been away. However, now that she has returned from her sabbatical Ken's role as pastor of the Eastside congregation has reverted back to being a member of the congregation.

He is currently the minister-emeritus for the congregation and with many years of experience has continued to provide the leadership needed throughout the fall months. Ken is a very gifted speaker and song leader and surrogate Grandpa for the children in the congregation. His time with the children during the service created a special atmosphere where worship seemed a natural expression of the warmth and love that he exibits! He has earned an extended vacation and will be visiting with family members in southern California where he will enjoy the pleasures of chasing a little white ball with a stick we call a golf club!
