Ordained Minister. Rev. Nobuko Iwai is our interim minister until summer 2012 while we re-focus our vision and ministry as a congregation. Nobuko has many gifts, from leading worship and challenging us with insightful messages to effectively communicating to those who need someone to offer guidance in the midst of our hectic world. Minister Emeritus. Rev. Ken Powers and his life partner, Mary Belle began attending Eastside after Ken's retirement from Ordered Ministry. Emerging as a gentle and visionary leader among the Eastside people, Ken was invited to be Minister Emeritus in 2005. Minister of Christian Education. Jenni Krall was born and raised in the United Church and has broadened her faith experience by spending time in other denomina-tions. Jenni is passionate about Children and Family ministries and Eastside welcomes her to a 1/4-time position with children and teens in 2009. Eastside also employs Sunday School teachers who, with Jenni, create curriculum and lead Sunday morning Kids' programming. She is on maternity leave until September 2012. Amanda Tessier is the acting CE contact person. Office Manager. Diane Funk is the living link between Eastside's past and present. Diane was hired when Eastside was still a mission congregation and hers is the voice you will hear on the phone when you call. Diane can be found in the office four days a week and she can answer most of your questions. Pianists. Eastside has a number of exceptional musicians who bring unique gifts and distinct playing styles to their music ministry. Cindy Haynes, Michelle Dickie and Josh Hendricksen are three of the people you will see at the keyboards regularly. Sometimes Mark Pitman joins with a drum beat too. |
