Houses

Coordinator: Linda Fowler

Eastside United has 9 House Groups. Each House has two leaders and approximately 15 family units of 1 or more individuals.  Houses assume responsibility for Sunday morning (and some mid-week) tasks every 9 months. Houses meet 4-6 weeks before their assigned month to delegate tasks and review job descriptions for each task (Job descriptions and House Manual will soon be online.).  Houses also exist as an easy entry point for newcomers. Every Eastside member (and adherent) is assigned to a House. Level of participation is up to you.

Why have houses?

· Houses spread the work of the church among many people.

· Ministry staff are freed from hours of phoning for volunteers.

· Busy families can commit to a short time period every nine months.

· New people are quickly brought into the life of the congregation.

· People get to know each other through small group interactions.
